David Rokeach is a fantastically talented drummer who has worked with a slew of music legends including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Dr. John, Stanley Clarke and many others.

He is currently a member of living legend Taj Mahal’s band and contributes his superlative grooves to many Bay Area jazz bands such as Mark Murphy’s band as well as the popular Motown tribute band Pride & Joy.

He is also an drum instructor and lecturer in the music department at Stanford University in Palo Alto.

David brings his vast experience and deep-dish funk grooves to Talley Up! propelling the band into uncharted heights of their swampedelic New Orleans funk.
